Giving

Giving is really important to us.  As a local charity with no statutory funding, what we can do depends on how much we have.  We always need money, even if people donate food, or their time, we still need to pay for things like water, electricity and insurance.

For any forms/help/information with giving, phone 01376 344407 or email giving@braintreeyouth.org.uk

There are so many ways to give to our work….
Standing order – you can give a set amount each month by standing order.  This helps us to budget as we know roughly what is coming in each month, and it is easy for you, once it is set up you don’t need to do anything else.  Contact us for our bank details so you can set it up.

One off donation – you may not be able to afford to give each month, or you may have had an unexpected influx of money (!) that you want to donate. We can accept cheques, payable to Braintree Youth Project Charity, or cash if you want to pop in and see us at The Hut.  You can also make an online payment, contact us for our bank details.

Text – if your mobile phone is clamped to your side, you may find this an easy way to give, just text BYPC01 followed by the amount (eg £5 or £10) to 70070 and it will amazingly appear in our bank account a few days later.

Gift Aid – if you are a UK taxpayer and you give by regular donation or as a one off, we can reclaim 25% of the amount of the gift.  We only need one signed form to confirm you are a taxpayer and we can continue to claim gift aid on your donations from the first time you give. Contact us for the relevant form.

Give as you Live – you can raise free donations for us when you shop online.  Click here before you shop and when you buy things on a website such as Amazon, ebay, John Lewis, Sainsbury’s or Tesco, we will receive a donation, typically 1% or 1.5% of the price of the item(s).  If lots of people do this, it soon adds up!

Bequest – If you are drawing up a will and would like to leave money to us, please tell your solicitor.

Co-op Dividend – We have a share account with the East of England Co-op, which means that if you are a Co-op member, you can donate your dividend points to us by telling the person at the till you want to give your points to share number 634342.  Anyone aged 16 or over can be a Co-op member for only £1.  Click here for information on becoming a Co-op member.
