On the 1st March, we held our Annual Fundraising Barn Dance. This was headed up by one of our directors, Matt Ager. We raised about £350 through ticket sales and an auction of donated prizes.
The event was held in the main hall at Alec Hunter so there was plenty of space for everyone to dance. There was a live band playing the music for us, and a range of instruments were being played from a guitar and tambourine through to a piano and a recorder. Barbara Dean kindly was the caller and was calling out the instructions for all the dancers. Around 60 people turned up to support the event and almost everybody had a go at dancing. Our youngest dancer was 3! The first 45 minutes was spent dancing and in the middle there was a break with an auction of donated prizes. and Roll the Pound game. We were kindly donated prizes by some of the local businesses in the town. Many thanks to La Maison, Martini’s Pamper Parlour, Fleurtations and Shake Express. All in all the evening was full of laughter, was enjoyed by all and raised over £350 for BYPC. Thank you to everyone who came to the event and help support it!
